Hip did the impossible in finding a replacement screen for my MacBook Pro, as everyone else I called either didn't answer the phone and or didn't return my call. The only one that did return my call said that they were unable to do it. However, not only did Hip answer the call, which is rare these days, he assured me that while it would be difficult, especially concerning the shipping, he would absolutely be able to do it. I had an issue with my desktop graphics card after a flight from New York. They clearly explained common problems that can happen during transport, starting from installation issues, which was really helpful. The location is also very easy to access within Honolulu. The issue was diagnosed pretty quickly: my current Harddrive was 97% full and could not properly start up, my data was moved to a bigger hard drive, reinstalled a fresh copy of Windows 11, and even cleaned the laptop. Very professional. I was thrilled they were able to recover 6 years of older pictures I had stored on an external harddrive. These were taken with my old camera and loaded to my laptop before cloud usage. I copied them to an external drive and then had to delete them from my lap top. Whew!

They completely cleaned my computer (inside and outside) and used putty to keep the jack in place. My computer now works great! I recently brought dead my Macbook Pro laptop in to H Power Computing to hopefully get the data off. This computer had 4 years of business files, photos, spreadsheets, etc. that I stupidly hadn't properly backed up. I was devastated about the loss of important data, and up to that point, every other computer professional I talked to about getting my data off gave me very little hope and discouraged me to even try and potentially waste a lot of money. Not only was HPC miraculously able to salvage the data, but they were able to repair it so I can keep using it, and now I don't have to drop $3k+ to buy the same computer new! They even documented everything that was in need of repair so I could see the extent of the damaged areas. I'm completely blown away by the work they did, and I'm so glad I didn't listen to everyone else and took a chance on HPC. Do not hesitate to bring your ailing computer here- they really know their stuff! They're very honest straight shooters too, which is always refreshing. I will continue to sing their praises and send people here as long as I live.

Hip saved my computer!! 2015 MacBook Pro with corrosion and water damage on the motherboard - a combination of me not cleaning it properly and bringing it on a boat in really humid conditions (i.e. I’m an idiot). He was able to take it apart, clean out the corrosion, and get it working again. Throughout the process he was clear on what could/could not be done, expectations, repair times, and suggestions to mitigate the issues in the future. The price was exactly what I expected both for the initial inspection/diagnoses and the repair. In the end, it’ll cost you a fair amount determined by how badly you need/want your data and computer working again. Excellent service, lovely dogs, nice location. I’d go with H Power Computer again for my issues.

The tech not only gave me a fair price and concise breakdown of what would be covered, he also explained how to prevent future issues. He also explained when could be fixed and when I'd have to buy a new laptop. Also, the two dogs were friendly, my toddler loved playing with them! When it was time to pick up the laptop, I came a scant 5 minutes before closing, and there was still a tech on site who took the time to go over everything without any feeling of being rushed. The dogs weren't there this time, but the tech was super nice and gave my daughter a bottle of water (it was a hot day).

Generally, I’m tech-savvy and good at researching how to resolve an issue with computers. However, my laptop had a BSOD after uninstalling a driver. After countless hours of researching and attempting to fix, I got super irritated and decided to have a place to help me. This location is perfect because I live almost walking distance so this was my first option. I’ve heard of this business before but never had a chance to go inside. While I had the right solution, there was a small nit-picky detail about my cpu that I didn’t actually know that could affect. Jordon helped me and was able to solve it. Communication is great because they update you by email/sms and I definitely will choose here again! Thank you

I love their customer-centered service, prompt and informative communication, and quick repairs. One thing I dislike is the “leasing” program offered by Acima, which I would give 1 out of 5 stars. Do not confuse with a loan or credit card though; this is a lease where Acima owns your product until you pay it off; like renting to own. They advertise that you can pay in 0% interest installments within 90 days. However, the contract automatically signs you into a 12-month payment plan. This after 90 days, you will have to pay a monthly lease renewal fee (approx $45) AND 50% of your remaining lease payments. You can call their customer service number to change to a 90-day payment plan, IF you can reach them. Acima is a scam. You’re better off paying for the total cost upfront.

Jordan was super kind and helpful when I went in for a laptop that wouldn’t turn on. He very quickly determined it was just a bad charger, and there was nothing wrong with my computer at all! He suggested I be diligent about backing up my data so I wouldn’t end up back at the shop asking for data recovery services. He didn’t charge me, just gave very friendly service. Literally the best place to get computer repairs and/or data recovery in the State of Hawai'i. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. It's always hard to find true experts who aren't trying to sell something. I would highly recommend H Power. They are knowledgeable and very professional. 10 yrs ago i had keyboard issues and recently, HD issues. Each time they were very responsive and professional. What makes them stand out is how cost effective they are; how comfortable they make you feel no matter your level of computer knowledge, in my case, extremely low. Plus the wait time was less than expected. My laptop is the same one when i initially went to them... it will last another 10 years i think..it now runs like new. The hardrive on my old Mac Book Pro crashed. This is one of the few shops in Honolulu that actively answers the phone. The team here is very helpful and pro active. The repair seems to be good and they have a long warranty period.

Brought my iMac in and had them troubleshoot it right on the spot. They found the problems and told me how long it would take. The repair was done really fast in about a week. Got my hard drive replaced and they increased the ram. Computer runs faster than when I first got it. I would recommend H Power Computing to anyone who has a computer problem. H Power computing has always been SO impressive to me. Several years ago, when my friend wanted a quote to reactivate an old hard drive they had, I tagged along with him to H Power's initial location around Vineyard street. I was a little intimidated at first, because computers are not something I know much about. However, their facility was inviting and clean, and the staff was very professional, clear, and concise when answering my friends' questions. Everyone was so nice! Staff was immediately available and their advanced internal organization was apparent. Fast forward to 2020, I found myself desperately needing help fixing my own hard drive malfunction. I knew exactly where to go! I checked out H Power, this time on Pohukaina Street. Again, the staff was friendly, honest, concise, sincere, and even gave me general computer advice I didnt even know to ask for. They even recommended to me what THEY do and what programs they use on their own personal computer, and why. I felt so taken care of. Before leaving, the staff even asked if I'd like the actual technician who worked on my computer to come out and explain to me in thorough detail what they did to my computer and how they fixed it. H computer has helped me immensely. I no longer feel intimidated by computer problems, because I know I have H Power on my side.

My 3 year-old HP laptop wouldn't power up. Like most people whose pc needs repair, I wanted it fixed the day before yesterday and at a very reasonable cost. The shop's owner, Hip, quickly laid out the time and cost parameters. His techs actually sent me progress reports with photos of the culprit (the motherboard was fried beyond repair), and gave me the old board when I picked up my PC. There likely are less-expensive repair facilities in Oahu, but as someone who spent over three decades in the Consumer Electronics industry, I can verify these fellows know what they're doing. Not one bit of data was lost, and my PC was returned looking clean and operating perfectly. They are courteous professionals who obviously take pride in their work. Well-worth the money!

Very helpful. The price was reasonable considering they know what they're doing. Anyone saying they are over priced might not realize that they are comparable to other places. Some of my tech savvy friends on the east coast commented that the price was not much different from what they would charge. My computer was ready to pick up in exactly a week, and they had no issues answering my questions. All in all I was happy with my experience.

We had a serious issue with our network, since we have a brick and mortar business have a network that's down hinders operations and customers are not happy. Well long story short it was repaired and H power came by to make sure things were working the next day.

Smart, friendly and honest staff. I recently ran into an overheating problem with my PC due to a non-working AIO cooler. I went down to HPC to see if I could get a replacement heatsink/fan. Surprisingly, they had a few aftermarket coolers in stock. One of the workers ended up selling me a used Intel heatsink for real cheap, so I could use that while waiting for Amazon to send me a replacement cooler. Very thoughtful and intelligent salesman. I am happy to have stopped by and I will likely be back to get a new screen protector for my phone (they sell and install those too!).

They are the most professional and straight forward digital solutions company on island. I have a mac book pro that is now considered a "classic." It needed a new battery and overall tune up, and I was turned away from every mac store. I walked in to H Power and they immeadiately had the correct new battery for my computer. I picked my computer up the next day and it was cleaned up, all my missing screws were replaced, and it worked faster than it had in years. THANK GOODNESS I FOUND DIGITAL SOLUTIONS!!! I dropped my phone a few weeks ago and cracked half the screen so I knew it was only a matter of time before it would go out. Sure enough yesterday morning I woke up to a completely blacked out screen. Through my YELP search I came across Digital Solutions, one of the only Iphone repair locations that are open on a Sunday. I was the first customer in the door, I was greeted by HIP the store owner and his two friendly dogs. Not only was I provided excellent customer service but I was informed they offer a year warranty on the repaired my Iphone screen!!! I would definitely recommend this place to everyone I know!

More than a bit overdue. Took my rig in about a month ago after it wouldn't boot up. Thought it was a power issue, but as it turns out, the SATA drive which I used for file storage had died, causing the system to perpetually look for it, resulting in the operating system not booting up from the SSD. The team diagnosed it on the spot for free and also provided some improved file-storage configuration tips. Was in and out with a fixed computer in 15 minutes. AMAZING SERVICE!!!! My hard drive crashed and Apple couldn't help. Hip and his employees saved my computer, added a MUCH BETTER hard drive, and made it like new (and far faster) overnight! Hip and co. set me up with a new hard drive and a better operating system. When I had a minor issue with my mousepad (on my laptop) as a result of all the reconfiguring, Hip walked me through the easy process of fixing 'er up! Hip is very professional - he knows his stuff - yet at the same time he takes time to explain the options available in a way that any customer can understand (at whatever level of computer knowledge one might be at). I have nothing but positive feedback for the way the repairs were done on my laptop. It is actually one that I had bought in Korea when I lived there: an LG. The part that needed to be replaced on it was impossible to find in the U.S. since LG doesn't sell computers here. Despite this, Hip was able to order the replacement part very quickly from Hong Kong and completed the job very efficiently. No time was wasted with unnecessary talk; everything was done above board and honestly. I only wish I could give this business 6 stars!

After reading the yelp reviews,I brought my computer in with hopes that they would be able to restore it back to itself after I attempted to watch a streaming version of GoT. My computer can down with bug. Being a freelance photographer, my computer is necessary tool to edit and send images to the lab. With 3 weddings lined up i was on a time crunch and the pop ups and random windows closing was driving me the wall. I called and got a human on the phone, they told me to bring device and they would do their best to get to some as asap. Cool, I hoped on my moped and went to grab a bowl of pho with the boys. Got a phone call 3 hours after I dropped it off... I couldn't believe it. Quick service, didn't cost me an arm and a leg and they didn't try to sell me junk I didn't need. H Power Computing is my go-to for all my computer needs. Hip treats his customers and his work with professionalism and gets the job done in a timely manner. There was a time when I was in the middle of writing a paper and my computer crashed. I thought I was going to lose everything and I had a tight deadline to meet. My computer would not even turn on. Hip was able to save and retrieve all my data and he offered to trade my old computer for a new one so now I am the proud owner of a MacBook Air. This company, is friendly, personal and professional, their quick and responsive service is outstanding and they were able to fix my problem (even if they qualified it repeatedly as temporary). I'll start with why I took away a star. My power button on my laptop was stuck in and the computer did not turn on. I was quoted an exorbitantly high price for this service because it was a computer opening service. This problem was mechanical in nature and required only the back panel removed (I lacked the tools) and a relatively simple work-around. They justify this (nearly $300 price tag with performing services like cleaning and vacuuming etc. This flat-rate price tag drops them down a star especially for a very simple repair. As for the other 4 stars, their system is designed for maximum customer input and allows you to be involved in the work, it is quick allowing me to get my computer back before a work trip. The end result was successful and they were fantastic and friendly. Overall a bit overpriced but it worked, so better than buying a new laptop!

Knowledgeable staff, good correspondence, overall great team of tech-savvy guys they got down at HPC. They explained everything about every step of their data recovery service, even though most of it went over my head. A bit pricey, but worth it for their data recovery services. Only issue I had was with their online portal system that they use for billing and status updates. Maybe it was just a problem with my PC or something, but I had so much trouble logging in, and there is seemingly no way for users to reset their passwords without calling the store and having someone do it from their end. Overall, quite happy with their service. Will definitely be back for future data recovery and PC needs.
