Why Local Tech Support is Better Tech Support

Working with Computer

If you’ve ever had to dial a toll-free number in order to get in touch with a tech support representative because of a computer becoming faulty or defunct, then you know from experience just how stressful these phone calls can be. Not only are you put on hold for hours at a time and shifted between technical support and customer service, but by the time you are able to communicate with a technician, you’d have wished you hadn’t even bothered in the first place. Most of these so-called “technicians” are inexperienced and are likely to google up your answers as you speak (not even getting the gist of your problem and often relaying answers that do not pertain to your computer), with some of them being as rude as they come and attempting to win an argument by dubbing you the village idiot instead of giving you the information and resolve you need. And with support like that, it’s no surprise why customers never return, which is why it’s better to opt for local tech support.

The great thing about local tech support is that they’re local, which means that should you have a hardware-related problem instead of a software one, they are more than capable of fixing your computer then and there instead of having to ship it to the mainland because they don’t have the resources nor the experience to do so, which will happen with other bigger computer companies like Dell Inc. They are also more devoted to building customer relationships and will give you all the time you need in order to make sure you are comfortable and understand what it is that’s wrong with your computer and what it needs. Also educating you on how you can keep your computer from having the same problem again.
